APPRENTICE- The journey begins in an apprentice program where all boys ages 5 and up are encouraged to learn the trade of gymnastics while building self esteem and confidence. Having fun while gaining physical and mental strength is our highest priority at this level.   Apprentices are grouped by age and skill level.  Being an apprentice introduces the boy to a wide variety of life and gymnastics skills. Apprentices may be exploring many different trades (sports) at the same time.

JOURNEYMEN PROGRAM-  Some Apprentices will develop a higher interest in the trade of gymnastics than others. These apprentices are chosen based on their dedication, attitude and performance to further train in the trade of gymnastics.  We will provide them with more specific goals of gymnastics with hopes of them wanting to become a Master in the trade. Time commitment grows with each level.  There are several levels of Journeymen which will eventually lead up to Master.

Journeymen- This level does not require guild (USAG) membership or trade meetings (meets) to test skills however is geared to train the student to be successful in future trade meetings (meets) which they may be part of.

Exploring Journeymen- (level 4 competitive) This level of journeyman is the first level of official skills testing.  An Exploring Journeyman must be part of the Guild (USAG Registered) and attend several trade meetings (meets) during the year.  Teamwork and Confidence is the highest priority at this level.

Traveling Journeymen- (Level 5 competitive) This level of journeymen is the next level of training.   The journeyman at this level has explored the trade and has made the decision to hone (sharpen) their skills in gymnastics.  As part of the guild (USAG Member) they are dedicated to helping the entire group along with themselves.  Working together as a group and maintaining high internal drive is the highest priority.

Guiding Journeymen- (Level 6 competitive) This level of Journeyman is the final level of training a Journeyman must experience before becoming a Master.  Here the skills of the trade have reached a level where the Journeyman is able to understand the complexities of the skills required.  Their physical and mental strength gained during their journey has given them an extreme internal drive and love for the trade.  The guiding journeyman will be focusing on their current skills while also preparing for the upcoming challenge of creating their own masterpieces (optional routines) necessary for becoming a Master in the trade.

Master- (level 7 and up) This is the highest level of the trade.  Once a Master the individual has a full understanding of the trade and the ultimate love for it.   Their passion for the trade is contagious and powerful.  The Master will continue to learn the trade and build on his skills while continuing to build all the mental and physical growth that he has learned thus far.

"START HERE, GO ANYWHERE"

A message from the Boys Director/Team Coach
"There are many athletic sports and activities out there that pull your child every which way.   For this reason we have created programs to fit your schedule and needs.  I feel that gymnastics is a "Springboard" to all other sports.  For those who see gymnastics as something to excel in we offer the only competitive boys program in the area.   Gymnastics provides flexibility and strength for the entire body.   Providing an environment where learning can occur is a key to success.  Having fun while learning is extremely important.  My coaches understand this philosophy and strive to maintain high energy, safety, and respect. It is proven by leading sports psychologists that positive coaching develops self esteem, builds confidence, reduces stress, and empowers your son to do their best in the sport and in life."
